Today we went to a picnic with families that have adopted kids from Vietnam. We were the only family there without kids! I guess the other waiting couples were too shy to attend. We brought Bruno as an ice breaker. He was a real hit with the kids. Somebody made a rude comment the other day that she would never be able to adopt for fear she would get an ugly baby. Each one of these children was cuter than the next and all so precious. I wish we could have taken one home today, but we will just have to be patient--our son or daughter is over in Vietnam right now waiting for us.

Cute kids.
I can't understand that "ugly baby" comment since there is no guarantee that if you a carry a baby in your womb that you will have a cute baby.
I think no matter what the child looks like when it is your child you think they are cute.
The ugly baby comment came from an Eastern-European co-worker. Maybe that's why Russia lets you go over there and pick out your baby from an orphanage??
And, I agree, a baby from your womb could come out looking like Frankenstein, who knows! But you would still think it was the most beautiful baby in the world.
