Recent Activity

After months of inactivity, suddenly we have to submit forms to Vietnam again at a hurried pace, getting things notarized and Fed Exing things after work in preparation to receive our referral. Our representative in Vietnam, Hang, is the one coordinating these efforts from their end. In other news, some procedural changes go into effect Oct 29. You have to submit your I-600 form before traveling to Vietnam. This form is a petition to the US government to adopt an orphan from another country. They say it will take at least 60 days to process. That means, upon receiving your referral, you will have to wait at least 60 days to travel. Before, it was all taken care of at the US Embassy during an I-600 interview. Now, no more I-600 interview, but you still have a visa interview. Everything is quite complicated.
