Today we had our family shower at Old Man Rafferty's. It was so great to talk to all the family members that we haven't seen in a while. From Dan's side we had: Kate, Melissa, Cayden, Cori, Grandma Janis, Judy, Jocelyn, Cindy, Andrea, Mollie, Terry, Jenna, Ruthie, and Melody. From my side we had Beth, Alice, Karen, and "cousin" Georgie. Almost 20 people! The menu was garden salad, choice of grilled chicken, grilled pork medallions, or pasta primavera with a marinara sauce (my special request). For dessert you could choose raspberry cheesecake (hands down the favorite), tiramisu, or darkside of the moon (chocolate cake delux). We got some awesome gifts. Dan's dad made a little bookshelf, Ruthie made pillows and a quilt, we got the car seat, diaper genie, and too many more little baby necessities to mention. It was really a nice afternoon. A big THANKS goes to my sister-in-laws and my mother-in-law for helping to plan this delicious event. And thanks to Georgie for leaving early so that I could take her cheesecake ;-)
