New fridge

When I landed the job at L'Oreal, my gift to myself was a new fridge. Our old one was circa 1985 and had parts falling off of it. So after we got back from FL, we went into Sears and ordered this GE French door model (job w/ French company = fridge w/ French doors). After returning home from Sears that day, I noticed the freezer was not working right in the '85 fridge. A few days later, the ice maker stopped working! Then the refrigerator half started freezing the food. With delivery 2 weeks out, the old '85 held on just long enough. The delivery guys had to take the doors off to get it out, but the new one is one inch shallower, so it fit through w/ doors in tact. As you can see, they didn't use hand carts, but carried it using a tether between them connected to a shoulder harness. Pretty impressive.

Bye old energy hog side-by-side. I hope they strip you for parts.

cool design on the new fridge! And with the freezer down there, you have do at least one full squat to get to the ice cream :)

Hope to see you soon!

How do you like the freezer down there? I bet you can put nice, large trays in that fridge, though!

The freezer on the bottom isn't as bad as I thought. It has one deep bin and two trays that pull out. You could put boxes of pierogies and cartons of ice cream in the trays and your bags of vegetables in the bin. The fridge is wide, but has problems fitting tall things. The best part about it: the freezer keeps food frozen, the ice maker makes ice, and the refrigerator doesn't have broken drawers.
