Its been one week since we submitted the I-600 and no word yet. So much for getting the fastest approval ever. But there are a lot of things we need to get done yet including changing our will and insurance to include Gianna and finding suitable daycare. Today I visited a daycare center visible from my window at work. Someone told me they had multinational kids and knew how to deal with English as a second language. More accurately, they were bi-national with French and American kids, mostly of the blond hair blue eye variety and knew how to teach French kids English. However, we're looking for some true diversity and a place that has experience with kids that have special needs. So, on to the next daycare, either Pumpkin Patch or Rainbow Development Center, whichever one I decide to interview tomorrow.

Rainbow - is that down the road from your home? If so, it's the one a friend of mine took his son to and they loved it - for what it's worth. The owners were caring, groups were small and they really felt that all staff members were interested in their child. That was a few years back, though and things do change.
Thanks Jenni! That is the place right down the street from our house. I talked to them a few months ago and their rates and plans were reasonable. Now I just have to schedule a visit. Its good to know others had a positive experience there.
