This morning Dan and I went on a hunt for Bia Hoi, Vietnam's famous beer. It is brewed fresh each morning in the countryside and distributed in the city. You are supposed to drink it before noon, when it is at its freshest. So when in Vietnam, do as the Vietnamese do. We were gulping ours down around 9:30. It did not disappoint, the beer was arguably the best I've ever had, even though the glasses were very dirty and something was floating in Dan's beer. The total price for 2 beers was about $0.50 and we got to drink them with a group of soldiers.
Afterwards, we strolled around a local market selling all types of fresh food and wares. The last stalls were selling roast dog. The heads were left on most of them, so you could clearly see their poor little noses.
There are a few more pics from this morning that I uploaded into our Kodak gallery. In less than an hour we leave for the orphanage armed with toys, more candy, and a determined attitude. Today we meet with the orphanage director and get to ask her caregiver questions about her naps, potty, food, and play habits. We also distribute our gifts to the caretakers and donations to the orphanage. Its like Christmas in October!

I often threaten Bruno: "tonight we'll eat pincher fricassee". Now I can show him photos of what I'm talking about.
Wow.
When we were in China adopting our daughter, I looked for Roast Dog but could not find any.
