When we go to Vietnam, we're expected to give gifts to the Vietnamese officials and the orphanage workers. There is a list of preferred gifts, which include Lancome products in shades of "pink or light red". Today I was stressed at work, so I did some retail therapy and picked up 4 Lancome gift sets containing lip gloss, eye shadow, and blush, for $12-15 each. Not a bad deal. They have also requested diaper cream, so I'm going to take a case over with me when we travel.
Today there was a good news/bad news situation. The courier we hired did an awesome job of getting our paperwork through the embassy in record speed. Its already on its way back to our agency. Bad news, the CIS lost some of our paperwork for our fingerprint renewal. Dan faxed it over, so hopefully they get it right this time. There is another family in our agency who has been waiting a while, so maybe their paperwork is also lost in the CIS shuffle.

They asked for Lancome makeup and diaper cream?!?! That seems like an odd mix of things! Did they ask for the Lancome because they know you work there?
Lancome products are very expensive in Asia. They asked for Lancome not knowing I worked for L'oreal--just a coincidence!
