Married 11 years

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary--hooray! Last year we spent our 10th anniversary in the desert southwest with friends. This year we are installing a new garbage disposal :-( We had enough fun last year to cover #11 too.

For those of you that are wondering WHY we got married when we were so young, here's the nutshell story. Dan and I were high school sweethearts and we both went to Penn State for undergrad. We planned to get married once we graduated. I was struggling to pay for college and would have to drop out and work for a year unless I could get some more grants/loans and consolodate my living expenses. So Dan proposed! We got married, moved into a tiny apartment, I got money to finish college, we graduated, moved to Arizona, bought our first house when we were 21...and the rest is history. Now Dan is a Wall Street tycoon (Danny Sawbucks) and I am Dr. Barb with a cute little toddler on the way. Here's a picture from our wedding. Dan has so much hair!! I think I look pretty much the same, just younger...and I think I prefer the older, leaner, less hairy Dan.

CONGRATS! You guys are great. I think of you both often and consider you two and your marriage an example. Not many people left that I really respect but I do the two of you. Love you guys.

PS. Happy Bday Dan. I meant to call you but was in Chicago that week enjoying the city. Turning 30 wasnt so bad for me, but that last day in my 20's was a bitch!
