I-600 countdown

We finally heard some welcome good news from our adoption coordinator. The advertisement period actually ends June 14th, since the newspaper didn't run the ad until May 14th (yeesh). But, once that is over, everything is ready to immediately submit for the US CIS I-600 form. We already have preliminary approval from CIS to bring over a hypothetical orphan from Vietnam. Now they will approve us to bring over this specific orphan. Like I mentioned before, the I-600 is a process that can take anywhere from 1 week to 60 days. I am hoping, praying for the 1 week time frame! Since she is a waiting child, those applications tend to get processed more quickly. After that, it goes back to Vietnam for their final approval and we apply for a visa to travel. After their final approval, its about 2-3 weeks to travel. Can't wait! Maybe I will start packing a suitcase now...

I feel a little silly posting fruit and flower photos on a blog that is supposed to be about adoption. But so many people seem to like them that I will keep them coming all summer long until we have the money pictures of Gianna Mai in our arms!
