Its officially summer. Strawberry season has faded into raspberry season. The remaining strawberries are mostly too small or rotten to make it worth while for me to break my back bending over to pick them, so the rest are for the birds and slugs to fight over. Especially with fresh big raspberries to eat, who wants to bother picking strawberries anymore? Soon the tomatoes and peppers will be ripe too. All of this barely distracts me from the fact that we are still waiting for our final approval to travel.
I just wanted to say thanks to some important people in our lives that have been so supportive lately regarding the adoption. We are very grateful that Martin is willing to watch the house when we are gone and that Eric and Shira have volunteered to watch Bruno. This is a load off our minds. Then there is the emotional support from some family especially Jeff and Nancy who always know how to cheer me up when I am down. My Dad made me feel special when he put Gianna's picture as their computer wall paper. It lets me know how much they are anticipating the arrival of their first granddaughter. Finally, its so great to read everyone's comments on the blog and hear people talk about recent status reports. It lets me know you care about what is happening with this process and makes me feel that we are not alone in the waiting! Thank you so much friends :-)
