Today I quit my job. I marched into my boss's office and told him I'm leaving. Now I just have to figure out a good way to tell my co-workers that avoids an awkward going away party with sheet cake. After the holidays, I'm heading for greener pastures at L'Oreal in Clark, NJ. They interviewed me a record 5 times and offered me a chemist position in their skin care division. Instead of firing me for taking maternity leave, L'Oreal offers up to 6 months leave to new parents. I also get free products! They have on-site daycare and a gym across the street for my lunch time swims. So, I'm rather thankful that the adoption is taking longer than expected. Hopefully I'll be very comfortable with my new job before we add a new family member.
